Graduate of the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and Minor in English. I hold a certification in Language Arts and English Second Language Endorsement for 1st through 12th grade. I attend training often to improve my craft. There’s always something new to learn.

taught in public, private, low-socio economics, and suburban schools; therefore, I’m comfortable around all people. Teaching is a God-given gift. I had the pleasure of teaching secondary students for 20 years and elementary for four.

serviced at-risk students by counseling, conducting peer mediation sessions, educated them about the effects of drugs and alcohol, and minimized the violence on our campus.

Ladies’ Lounge Director for Born2Bfree Non-Profit had small group sessions with young adults, and we discussed the secrets in our families to get past the shame.

For New Day Services: conducted therapy sessions with parents whose children had been taken by Child Protective Services. This experience allowed me to see no matter what the circumstances were all of the parents wanted their kids to be successful even if they weren’t. This was powerful. Also, I learned that majority of the parents hadn’t discussed many of the topics that parents in a functional family would think was a normal conversation

Taught students how to communicate with each other effectively. We accomplished a 98% success rate which means students didn’t fight once that came to mediation. These students simply weren’t accustomed to having difficult conversations, but once they learned how their social skills improved and their quality of life because they had a productive conversation to create a solution.

Married for 22 years, 2 kids, one in college, and the other is a senior in highschool.

Why Was I Born in This Family? As I wrote this book, God guided me through all of the secrets in my life that held me back, and he showed me how to overcome them so that I can openly talk about things that once kept me in bondage for years.
